EAVE: Ties That Bind

EAVE Ties That Bind is a new training initiative supported by MEDIA International.
Several workshops will bring together ten film producers, from Asian and European countries, who have feature film projects in development. The workshops will focus on script development, financing, marketing, promotion and the legal aspects of co-production.
The workshop participants will work individually and in groups, and will have the opportunity to form creative and business partnerships and networks.
The programme will culminate in Pusan, South Korea in October 2010 with meetings between the participants and leading Asian and European funders and sales agents.
Sessions and Dates
Workshop 1 takes place in Udine, Italy from 25-28 April 2010 within the framework of the Udine Far East Film Festival. Workshop 2 will be held during the Pusan International Film Festival in October 2010 in Pusan, South Korea.
Participants
The target participants are experienced and successful feature film producers from Asia (Japan, Korea, China incl. Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia) and Europe wishing to work on an international scale and to create creative and business relationships between Europe and Asia.
European producers applying must be able to demonstrate a clear interest in Asia, and vice-versa.
Participation fee
Participation at EAVE Ties That Bind is free, and each participant will be offered five nights of full board accommodation. A number of partial scholarships will be offered to contribute to travel costs.
