TransISTor is a multidisciplinary training initiative offering European professionals in the audiovisual sector four intensive workshops focused on new technologies.
Details of the workshops are as follows:
Module 1: Preservation Techniques and Methodologies for Digital Audiovisual Works
6-9 May 2010 Prague, Czech Republic
This workshop will focus on the necessary steps for long-term preservation of digital content via indexing, ontological categorisations, and the application of the latest OAIS standard.
Module 2: Integrated Approach to 3D Cinema
11-14 May 2010, Bucharest, Romania
This workshop will provide an introduction to state-of-the-art 3D cinema technologies and hands-on, project-orientated tasks. It will explore new forms of digital cinema and 3D stereoscopic technology.
Module 3: HDTV Retrieval and Real-time Content Distribution in Network-driven Industrial Scenarios
19-22 June 2010, Barrandov Studios, SPAFI, Czech Republic
This workshop will focus on understanding network-driven industrial scenarios, introducing cutting-edge retrieval methods and mastering streaming techniques.
Module 4: Distributed Post-production Techniques
24-27 June 2010, Tele, Czech Republic, Arts and Film Festival
Deadline for modules 1 and 2: 15 March 2010
Participation fees
€400 per session for independents, €800 euro per session for corporations. Bursaries are available for participants from new Member States
