ESoDoc is a training initiative which focuses on a special genre of documentary that draws attention to human rights, social justice and environmental protection, particularly in the developing world.
ESoDoc offers three one-week sessions held over a six-month period, during which participants, either individually or in groups, develop a documentary film project.
ESoDoc is for professionals who are committed to the goal of social change, who are responsive to new film technology and who want to develop their own documentary projects. ESoDoc seeks documentary filmmakers and producers, NGO and NPO sector professionals with audiovisual experience, and new media professionals who want to realise online projects according to the spirit of ESoDoc.
Sessions and dates:
Three one-week sessions over a six month period. Exact dates and venues of sessions in 2010 TBC.
Participants
22 participants will be chosen on the basis of professional achievement, motivation and commitment to social and environmental issues. Preference will be given to applicants with a project.
Participation Fees
Cost is €1,200, or €600 for participants from new Member States. Costs include full board.
