EUROPEAN CO-PRODUCTION: Legal and Financial Aspects
Deadline
21 October 2009
First come, first served basis
21-25 October 2009, Baden, Austria
Film and television producers of different EU countries continually manage complex and changing legal rules and financing opportunities. They are challenged by significant differences in legal regulations and the resulting consequences in arranging agreements with talent, finance, production and distribution across Europe and the world. Producers also face an ever-changing landscape of financial opportunities and restrictions alike: They need to permanently update their knowledge about existing tax incentives, public support systems and the commercial market drivers.
These workshops offer comprehensive and practice-orientated training from leading industry experts. Participants will not only gain knowledge and valuable insight into the business, but will also get the opportunity to expand their professional network. And last but not least, the practice-orientated approach helps the adoption of the newly acquired knowledge and skills into daily working life.
Highlights include a workshop, held by Michael Katz, a producer of Das Weiße Band (The White Ribbon), and an in-depth discussion with the managing director of X-Filme Creative Pool, Stefan Arndt.
