CineMart calls for entries

CineMart is now accepting entries for its 27th annual event, which will take place during the Rotterdam Film Festival from 31 January to 3 February 2010. The International Co-production Market is a major event in the film industry calendar, and offers filmmakers the opportunity to pitch feature film ideas to international film professionals.
CineMart is aimed specifically at new or recent feature films (minimum duration 70 minutes) with international appeal. To be eligible, projects can be at any phase of production but should not have been presented at any other market or festival, except those linked to CineMart's partnering organisations. It is also essential that projects have not exhausted all financing avenues.
2010 will see approximately 36 new projects seeking additional financing from co-producers, bankers, sales agents, broadcasters and distributors. CineMart limits the number of projects selected in order to maintain a productive yet informal atmosphere. There is no entry fee for applicants, and representatives of selected projects will each be given a 'master meeting schedule' to maximise contact time with potential financiers.
The deadline for project submission is 1 September 2009.

CineMart is a MEDIA-funded initiative.
