UK Producer Adrian Sturges has been announced as one of the outstanding up-and-coming independent producers taking part in the Producers on the Move programme which takes place from 16-19 May during the Cannes International Film Festival.

Sturges will be amongst 23 ambitious producers at the beginning of their international career selected by European Film Promotion (EFP) member organisations, to take part in the prestigious scheme which aims to encourage co-production and dialogue between European producers.

Sturges, co-founder of Picture Farm Production company, produced The Escapist which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and won the British Independent Film Award for "Best Achievement in Production" and the Scottish BAFTA for "Best Actor" for Brian Cox.

Producers on the Move offers the chosen producers the opportunity to meet and network with key industry players through a series of round-table discussions and networking events, seeking to attract the attention of the international film industry and press. Celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, a total of 196 producers have participated in the Producers on the Move programme, many of whom have gone on to have successful international careers.
