17 MEDIA-funded films in Cannes

This year there are 17 MEDIA-funded films screening at Cannes Film Festival, which have received a combined total of over €3 million in funds from the MEDIA Programme.
Screening in Official Selection for the festival, Pedro Almodóvar's Los Abrazos Rotos (Broken Embraces) has so far received €1,105,708 funding for distribution in five European territories - with this amount likely to increase in the coming year. Fish Tank, directed by the UK's Andrea Arnold has received € 44,706 support through MEDIA's i2i Audiovisual funding scheme. Ken Loach's Looking for Eric has so far been awarded €526,931 from the MEDIA Programme for distribution in three European territories. Other MEDIA-funded films in Official Selection are:

Screening in Un Certain Regard, Le père de mes enfants directed by Mia Hansen-Love received a total of €84,880 thorugh MEDIA's i2i Audiovisual and Development funding schemes.
Screening in Quinzaine de Réalisateurs La famille Wolberg ,directed by Axelle Ropert, received €30,000 MEDIA funding for development. De Helaasheid der Dingen, directed by Felix Van Groeningen, received €35,000 MEDIA funding for development.
In Semaine de la Critique Altiplano, directed by Peter Brosens & Jessica Woodworht, received €50,000 funding through the MEDIA i2i Audiovisual funding scheme. The Ice House, directed by Michael Giannantonio and Rob Walker, received €30,000 for development.
In the Midnight Screenings section A Town Called Panic, directed by Stéphane Aubier and Vincent Patar received a total of €38,000 for development and distribution in one territory (so far). Ne te retourne pas, directed by Marina de Van Ex Nihilo received €55,675 through the MEDIA i2i Audiovisual funding scheme and for distribution in two territories (so far).
In the Séances spéciales Jaffa, directed by Keren Yedaya, received €27,000 development funding from the MEDIA Programme.
