CineMart, the original co-production market operated in association with the Rotterdam International Film Festival,  has a deadline of 1 October 2009 for project submissions seeking selection for the 2009 edition.

The 26th CineMart will take place from 25 - 29 January 2009 during the 38th Rotterdam International Film Festival (21 January - 1 February 2009).

Over the course of five days, 35 international projects will be presented to over 850 professionals (buyers, executive producers, agents) from the international film industry.

To be eligible for CineMart a project:

- must not have been presented at other international co-production markets, except official partners of CineMart
- can be in pre-production (second draft script) or a work-in-progress still in need of development money or pre-sale money
- should have a minimum length of 70 minutes and have international or theatrical potential
- should have a director attached.

Projects should be submitted prior to the deadline. There is no entry fee. To submit, applicants must complete the online CineMart entry form available here.

Submission includes a synopsis, a treatment (for projects in development), director's statement, director's biography or filmography, producer's biography or filmography, company profile, budget outline, finance plan, two production stills (for projects in progress), a DVD/VHS of director's previous work (for projects in development) or DVD/VHS with material already shot (for projects in progress).
