Over €4 million MEDIA-funding has been awarded to European distributors to aid the release of 32 films in various European territories.

UK-film The Broken, directed by Sean Ellis, will have its release in ten territories supported by €186,000 worth of funding.  The biggest award went to Paris, directed by Cedric Klapisch, and starring Juliette Binoche, which received €616,000 towards releases in 13 territories across Europe.  Optimum Releasing received €70,000 towards releasing the film in the UK.

Caos Calmo (Calm Chaos), directed by Antonio Luigi Grimaldi, received €492,000 towards releases in nine territories.  Palme D'or nominated Le Silence de Laura, directed by the Dardenne brothers, also received €434,500 towards releases in nine territories.
