The MEDIA Programme has several schemes which support the transnational distribution and exhibition of European films:

• Selective scheme (for groupings of European distributors releasing non-national films theatrically)
• Automatic scheme (for European distributors who release non-national films theatrically)
• Sales Agents (for European sales agents who sell non-national films)
• Video-on-demand / Digital Cinema Distribution (for operators that run VoD services, allowing users to directly view European audiovisual content online, or DCD services, which offer the digital delivery of film to cinemas)
• Networks of cinemas (which supports Europa Cinemas, the European cinema network).
