This annual scheme is a subsidy based on the number of paid admissions in a previous calendar year for recent non-national European films.  The scheme is designed in two stages: 

• generation - distributors declare the number of admissions in the qualifying period;
• reinvestment - the funds generated in the first stage can be reinvested in co-production, minimum guarantees and distribution costs of new European non-national films.
