The MEDIA Programme has several schemes which support independent producers:

• Development funding - Single Project (for production companies registered for at least one year and wishing to invest in the development of one project)
• Development funding - Slate Funding (for production companies registered for at least three years and wishing to invest in the development of several projects simultaneously)
• Development funding - Slate Funding Second Stage (only available to companies who currently have an active slate funding contract. Please contact your MEDIA Desk or Antenna for further details)
• Development funding - Interactive Works (for the development of interactive works in particular categories, which complement a traditional audiovisual work)
• TV Broadcasting (production funding for European television projects involving several European broadcasters)
• i2i Audiovisual (supports production companies which use bank financing and/or completion bonds to finance their films).

MEDIA only supports audiovisual projects in these categories:

• Fiction with minimum duration of 50 minutes (one-off or series)
• Creative documentary with minimum duration of 25 minutes (one-off or series)
• Animation with minimum duration of 24 minutes (one-off or series).

Please note that MEDIA also only supports interactive works which complement an audiovisual work in these categories.
