MEDIA 2007 has two schemes which support training providers:

• Initial Training - funding for providers of courses supporting the networking of European film schools (the target trainees are film students)
• Continuous Training - funding for training providers who deliver continuous vocational training activities for film and television industry professionals (the target trainees are working audiovisual professionals).

Both schemes support training in the areas of new technologies, economic, financial and commercial management and scriptwriting. Applicants can apply for a non-repayable grant of up to 50% towards the costs of the training activity (in some cases for 75%).
